Hi my questions are:
When will be the year of the Linux Desktop? What is the best Distro? Why does not everybody uses Opensource? Where comes the Linux love of MS comes from? What will I have for dinner?
Let‘s see, what we might be able to address in some of our future posts. But rest assured, you will need and be able to decide on your own plans for dinner…
For desktop, I fear, it‘s at least not really easy to answer, these places are mostly covered by Microsoft Windows as well as Apple MacOS.
The best distro is a constant debate, you might want to follow Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols, he comments often on such things.
And I guess, the fact, that MS now does love Linux has many many reasons, so singling out one such reason might not be the best answer.
And w.r.t. to why not everybody uses OpenSource: I guess, everybody uses opensource in some way or the other, they simply might not know it.
